Popular Nigerian-born Canadian scholar, Professor Pius Adesanmi’s and a retired ambassador, Abiodun Bashua have been confirmed to be among the 157 passengers onboard an Ethiopian airline that crashed with no survivor in the early hours of Sunday 10th March, 2019.
Adesanmi, who holds a Nigerian and Canadian passport hours before the plane which was bound for Nairobi, Kenya, took off and went down, posted a photo on Facebook from Addis Ababa Airport, Ethiopia.

Aside from Ethiopians, there were nationals of Canada, China, Kenya and others aboard the airliner.
